WADMO Debuts at San Carlos Children’s Theater!

An amazing theater debut at San Carlos Children’s Theater on May 24th, 2014! Aoede’s award-winning What Are Dreams Made Of? audiobook was adapted into a staged reading by 14 dynamic young adult actors (6th-12th grade), who received a standing ovation. There was also an interactive Q&A Session afterwards where the audience provided feedback! The staged reading was the first step towards realizing a full production and will likely be followed by more workshops and readings. Watch video highlights below!

What Are Dreams Made Of? The Musical
Finalist in the Ronald M. Ruble National New Play Festival!

Each year Caryl Crane Youth Theatre hosts a national playwriting festival, showcasing new plays and musicals suitable for young adults, and the best and most promising unproduced theatrical works relevant to youth today. The weekend-long festival held at the beginning of May each year, consists of three to five staged readings of previously unseen theatrical works and will take place in the McBride Auditorium on the BGSU Firelands campus in Huron, Ohio. "What Are Dreams Made Of?" was selected as one of three Finalists and narrowed down from 69 scripts. WADMO will receive a staged reading on May 2nd, featuring young adults and produced by a Teen Board! A winning work will be chosen through committee/audience/participant voting and author(s) will receive a $500 cash prize as well as the option of a 3-week workshop of their production during the following CCYT season.
